I thought I would write about my holiday exploits around the Bahamas last month. It was lovely to go sailing around the coasts of some of the most beautiful islands in the world (never mind the Caribbean) and after a bit of a strange journey through Fort Lauderdale in the USA to get as far as Nassua I joined the boat and the crew that I would spend the next two weeks with. The weather as expected was hot and bright and I unpacked my clothes for the trip into my cabin below deck. I had a wander around the boat "Rhapsody" which had 4 cabins and a lovely boat deck with outdoor eating space as well as indoor room. I had a double bed and a shower room. There was also a jacuzzi on the deck so I was in heaven.

We set off from Nassau down towards Eleuthera sailing through the bright blue waters watching as the flying fish darted in and out of the sea. I've never seen such a variety of colours. The only fish I normally get to see are in batter and come with a plate of chips! The other people that were on board were a couple of marine biologists called Jack and Sophie. They said it was a bit of a busmans holiday for them but couldn't bring themselves to be away from the sea.
